Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ReviewKit (“ReviewKit,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use getreviewkit.com and our services (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account information - your business name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
- Customer contact data you provide - the names and phone numbers of your customers that you add or import so we can send review requests on your behalf.
- Usage data - review requests sent, link clicks, and basic analytics about how the Service is used.
- Payment information - processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service (e.g. send review-request texts).
- To process subscriptions and billing.
- To send you transactional and account emails.
- To monitor, secure, and improve the Service.
How we share information
We share data with service providers only as needed to run the Service:
- Twilio - to deliver SMS messages.
- Stripe - to process payments.
- SendGrid - to send emails.
- Amazon Web Services - to store data (US, us-east-1).
- Google - review links direct your customers to Google.
- Vercel - hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
We do not sell your personal information.
SMS / text messaging
ReviewKit is used by local service businesses to send their own customers a one-time text message requesting a Google review after a purchase or service. If you are one of those customers:
- Consent. You receive a message only because you gave the business your mobile number and agreed to be texted. Consent is never a condition of any purchase.
- No sharing or selling of mobile data. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties, and are not shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are used only to deliver the review request through our messaging provider (Twilio).
- Message frequency.Messages are transactional and low-volume — typically one message per visit, and no more than a short follow-up. We do not send recurring marketing campaigns.
- Rates. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Opt-out is honored automatically and the number is suppressed from future sends.
Your customers’ data
You are responsible for the customer contact data you provide and for having a lawful basis and any required consent to contact those customers by text message. We process that data solely to provide the Service to you, and delete it on request or when you close your account.
Data retention
We retain account and usage data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it unless we are required to keep it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
